Beta Experience: I am a straight-A honors/AP English student, the Editor-in-Chief of my school's creative writing club, and an English/language arts tutor. Though I have only beta-read twice before for fanfiction, I regularly edit both fiction and nonfiction works for others I know and would prefer to help with one-shots--I don't have the time right now to take on a full-length fic. Additional Ship Information: Most of my Harry Potter reading and writing has been about the Marauders & co. or the Black family, hence the ship selections, but I'm also willing to beta Next Gen pairings. No slash, though, please: I'm happy to read it and have nothing against it, but I've never written it and, as such, probably shouldn't edit it!
Lengths Of Fanfiction I Will Beta Read: Under 5,000 words.
My Strengths: Canon/Consistency, Characterisation, Grammar & Spelling and Plot.
Additional Strength Information: Apart from the essential grammar and mechanics, my biggest strength as a writer and an editor is characterization: I love exploring characters and the relationships (not necessarily romantic) between them. Ironically, romance isn't my strong suit; I much prefer platonic relationships or future couples in the friendship stage, but I'm willing to beta romance stories as long as the romance is not the central focus. I can also help with canon/consistency and plot: I reread the books dozens of times when I was younger and will look up even the smallest details on the Harry Potter Lexicon or the Harry Potter Wiki, and I'll catch and correct any plot holes that you have.
Beta Style: Flexible With Comprehensive Critique
Time Taken To Return A 4000 Word Document: Max. one week, usually less.
Additional Comments: My setting preferences are Marauder-era, Black cousins as children/teenagers, and Next Gen, and I'm flexible about stories' ships.
