Beta Experience: I have beta read for several authors in different fandoms including authors for whom English was not their first language. In addition, I have taught scientific writing to university students. I am comfortable with either British or American spellings and terms, and can help you switch from one to the other if you so desire.
Ratings I Will Beta Read : NC-17 and under.
Categories I Will Beta Read: Action/Adventure, Angst, Drama, General, Humour, Hurt/Comfort, Mystery and Romance.
'Ships I Will Beta Read: Grissom/Sara, Other Male/Female and Warrick/Catherine.
Additional Ship Information: My favorite ship, and the one I write, is Grissom/Sara, but I'm willing to read any ship that doesn't break that one (i.e. anything but Grissom or Sara with someone else). I'm a growing fan of Wendy/Hodges humour fics as well. For NC-17 stories, I'd prefer some sort of plot over PWP. I'd rather not beta for slash or femslash.
Lengths Of Fanfiction I Will Beta Read: 5,000 to 15,000 words, 15,000 to 25,000 words, 25,000 to 50,000 words, 50,000 to 100,000 words and Over 100,000 words.
My Strengths: Canon/Consistency, Characterisation, Grammar & Spelling, Plot, Point of View and Preventing Melodrama.
Additional Strength Information: I know the CSI fandom and its characters really well. I'm also a nit-picky fact checker and a biologist by trade. I can help with the science as well as the story line. Anything I don't know, I'm willing to research.
Beta Style: Flexible With Comprehensive Critique
Time Taken To Return A 4000 Word Document: 1-2 weeks (sometimes less, depending on my schedule)
Additional Comments: I'd rather not read tragedy or character death stories, but I don't mind reading angst with some resolution or hope of resolution. I'm willing to help if English is not your first language, if you need additional help as a young writer or if you have a learning disability. However, this may increase my turnaround time.
