Beta Experience: Within the Harry Potter fandom, I've been writing fan fiction since January '06 and beta reading since August '06. I am a big Buffy fan. Although I haven't beta read in the fandom, I am very knowledgable in Buffy canon.
Ratings I Will Beta Read : Restricted and under.
Categories I Will Beta Read: Action/Adventure, Angst, Drama, Fantasy, General, Horror, Humour, Mystery, Romance, Sci-Fi and Supernatural.
'Ships I Will Beta Read: Angel/Buffy, Oz/Willow, Spike/Buffy, Spike/Drusilla, Tara/Willow, Xander/Anya , Xander/Cordelia and Xander/Willow.
Additional Ship Information: I pretty much stick to canon as far as ships go. My favorite ship is Spike/Buffy. Also, I don't normally read slash, but as Tara/Willow is canon (and so cute!) I will read that particular pairing.
Lengths Of Fanfiction I Will Beta Read: 5,000 to 15,000 words.
My Strengths: Canon/Consistency, Characterisation, Grammar & Spelling, Plot and Point of View.
Additional Strength Information: I mainly check for grammar and spelling errors as I read, but I will also point out possible plot holes or problems with characterization.
Beta Style: Flexible With Comprehensive Critique
Time Taken To Return A 4000 Word Document: I'm in grad school now, so I try to return fics no later than two weeks after I receive them. If time is a factor, please let me know.
Additional Comments: As an aspiring writer myself, I understand how important it is to have a beta reader who will provide you with constructive criticism and support. I really enjoy writing, and I hope to facilitate the growth of other writers like myself. Also, I prefer to read for writers age 18 and over.
